What is the ACE Program?

The America’s Cutting Edge (ACE) program is an initiative aimed at addressing the skills gap in the manufacturing sector by providing education, hands-on training and resources to students, workers, and veterans. The program focuses on using modern techniques, tools, and technologies to ensure participants are equipped with the core competencies needed to take the first step towards starting or advancing a career in machining.
Why was the ACE Program Developed?

Manufacturing jobs in the U.S. are in high demand, particularly for skilled machinists in the machine tool industry. This program was created to address that growing need, spark interest, and introduce potential career paths within the field.
Growing the U.S. advanced manufacturing workforce is essential for producing high-quality tools and parts. Precision machining plays a critical role in creating the weapons, equipment, and aircraft needed to protect our troops. We hope participants will apply their learning to enhance the U.S. machine tool workforce.
